Karkat struggled to pay attention to the yammering red-sweatered troll in front of him. Kankri was lecturing, once again, and this time Karkat was trying to be courteous and listen. It just wouldn’t work, though.
“-those in the higher-blood castes may feel that they are able to make remarks on lower-blooded caste member’s rank in the system, however-”
Karkat gritted his teeth and tried to comprehend the words coming from the troll’s - admittedly soft-looking - mouth, yet nothing seemed to break through.
“-and many among us are very sensitive to that sort of thing, you may feel the need to-”
Karkat’s eyes darted around as he started to make up his mind on something.
“-a great amount of us have said-”
Karkat closed his eyes, and made up his mind.
“-that- MMPH!” Kankri’s white eyes shot wide open as Karkat leaned forward and pressed his mouth to his ancestor’s. Karkat was right. The elder troll’s mouth was rather soft. What Karkat wasn’t expecting, however, was that troll kissing him back. Kankri didn’t expect it either, but there he was, with his descendant kissing him, his hand tugging the hem of Karkat’s black shirt. Their lips pressed together, Karkat nibbling his bottom lip, asking for entry. Kankri accepted it before he knew what he was doing. Karkat’s tongue flicked Kankri’s upper lip, and snaked into his mouth. Kankri swirled his around his descendant’s. Just as Kankri’s hand slipped under the hem of Karkat’s shirt, they realized what they were doing and sprung apart, panting and blushing a bright red, wide-eyed. They both started talking at the same time.
“I-I’m sorry, I don’t know what I was doing-”
“What was THAT? I don’t-”
“I don’t know what came over me-”
“Karkat, be quiet.”
“I’m really sorry, fuck, I just screwed everything up-”
“Karkat.”
“I just-” Karkat was silenced by another kiss, this one soft and gentle, coming from Kankri. His eyes went wide, but quickly shut and he gave into the urging from Kankri and opened his lips slightly. They separated and stared into each other’s eyes. Karkat was against the wall. How did he get there? He didn’t care, but here he was, staring into his ancestor’s bright, white eyes, panting and blushing candy-red.
“When... When did you... Realize you felt like this?” Kankri asked cautiously. Karkat looked down and mumbled, just barely coherent,
“When you carried me here the first time, for your first lecture, I think.” Karkat looked up and continued. “Look, I know you probably don’t feel the same way, so if you just want me to go and pretend this never happened-” Kankri cut Karkat off.
“No. I... guess that I’ve been feeling the same way. I just didn’t want to trigger you. To be honest, you’re the only one that sits through my lectures without running off with some sort of excuse, and I just... didn’t want to ruin that.” Kankri blushed deeper, if that was possible.
“...You’re not shitting me?” Karkat said breathlessly.
“Not at all.” Kankri smiled. Karkat crushed his lips to Kankri’s again, and they both melted into the embrace.
What they didn’t notice was a giggle in the corner, a snap of a camera, and two very devious Pyropes slinking off with mischievous grins stretched across their faces as they leave with photos of the new lovers.

Karkat Vantas x Male Reader Chapter Five
Chapter Five
For the next month you three lived together quite peacefully. Gamzee was always high as a kite and kept Karkat company while you worked with Olivia. You came home stressed every day you worked with her, but the grumpy cancer Troll seemed to sense this and had since gotten used to making you some sweets, popcorn, and had a movie in and ready for you two to watch while you wound down from the day. Which helped greatly, and you were ever thankful towards the shorter Troll that would lean on you during the movie, cussing out the actors every time despite the fact they both knew exactly how the movie would end up.
